Somber: When the kids returned from the game they were so somber that I could tell they had lost.

Sick at heart: She was sick at heart over the illness of her cat.

I became sick at heart just looking at all the homeless children.

Heavy heart: He left her with a heavy heart, wondering if she would ever recover.
